- only solid pre-finished wood can be refinished in the future(there are execptions)
- 3/4" solid hardwood, adjusts better to changing climates, as opposed to laminated layers

- No beveled edges, your floor will look and feel completely flat and uniform
- Color matching or custom colors and effects are possible
- Can be refinished 2-4 more times
- More durable and thicker finishes can be applied

- For hand scraped/distressed applications, this is the appropriate choice to alleviate a "patterened" look.

IMPORTANT: Solid hardwood CAN be glued directly to concrete despite what many people will tell you. We've been doing it out west for years and never have any problems! You just need the right adhesive for the job!

No. Proffessional products applied by hand such as Monocoat and Bona finishes will outlast and outperform anything off the shelf.
Not neccessarily. Pre-engineered and pre-finished products have become increasingly more expensive in the last few years making a lot of them more expensive in price per square foot. But the overall look and feel will be quite different.
